A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Maharashtra Convention Bureau (MCB) and JWC GmbH, a German consultancy that specialises in the MICE sector, with the support of Maharashtra Tourism.

The goal of the cooperation is to help Maharashtra achieve its target of attracting more international conventions, exhibitions, and corporate events, and to boost the state’s standing in the global MICE industry.
In an effort to promote the state of Maharashtra as an ideal site for corporate gatherings, the Maharashtra Convention Bureau was recently formed by the Maharashtra Tourism Department. Mumbai and other cities in the state will be the target of international meetings and exhibitions, according to the agency.Whatever it takes—infrastructure, intellect, or ambition—we have always thought Maharashtra possesses it. According to Sanjay Khandare, the Additional Chief Secretary (Tourism) of the Government of Maharashtra, “We are now better equipped than ever to translate that potential into tangible outcomes for our economy and our people” because to JWC’s advice.
The Cologne, Germany-based firm JWC GmbH has been advising convention bureaus and locations on strategy, bidding, stakeholder involvement, and the expansion of corporate events since its 2007 founding. The Maharashtra Convention Bureau will be able to tap into the firm’s global network and extensive knowledge of the sector thanks to this partnership.
Maharashtra had all the necessary components to emerge as a prominent center for the global M.I.C.E. business, according to Jochen Witt, Chairman and Partner of JWC GmbH, who commented on the partnership. The combination of robust economic growth, entrepreneurial vitality, government assistance, and a quickly growing ecology of business events is unique among markets. We are thrilled to be a part of the Maharashtra Convention Bureau’s journey because we have faith in Maharashtra’s future possibilities. The opportunity to share our global expertise and help shape Maharashtra’s future in the M.I.C.E. business is an honour.
Supporting tourist growth, attracting international corporate events, and producing wider economic benefits through greater visitor spending and employment possibilities are the expected outcomes of the program, according to Maharashtra tourist.
