The Department of Goa Tourism is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the first day of the PATA India Roadshow in Frankfurt Germany held on 18th April, with an objective to bring Europe to Goa.

The event provided an opportunity for the delegation from Goa to showcase to the products and services that Goa has to offer that is aligned to the needs of these European markets and our sellers from Goa include hotels, travel agents, tour operators, airlines and representatives from the new airport in Goa.

The Goa Tourism delegation was represented by Mr. Shawn Mendes (OSD to the Hon’ble Tourism Minister) and Mr. Deepak Narvekar (Deputy General Manager Marketing/ Hotels), who addressed the trade media of Frankfurt and provided valuable insights into Goa’s tourism offerings.

Traditionally, Goa has received a large number of tourists from Germany and Mr. Shawn Mendes, showcased “Goa Beyond the Beaches” and Mr. Vinod Kumar, Indian Consul of Frankfurt elaborated on the simplicity to obtain a Visa to India and assured support for visa issuance in order to increase these numbers. Overall the first day of the Roadshow was a huge success. The evening closed with a lucky draw and the prize for flight ticket to India and stay at Taj Exotica Resort & Spa Goa, was won by Dr Caroline Grottker of Reisenuro LUX.
