As the hospitality industry in India grows beyond its traditional tourist markets, LaLiT Suri Hospitality Group is stepping up its efforts to help people acquire new skills, become more inclusive, and advance their careers. More than 300,000 people have received direct assistance through skilling, healthcare, and livelihood programs, and the hospitality company claims that its efforts in employment, education, and social inclusion have affected over one million lives.

“Inclusion is not a policy at The LaLiT; it is a deeply held belief that shapes our operations, growth, and engagement with communities. Our culture is built around this principle. Beyond mere representation, our goal has always been to pave the way for genuine opportunities for self-determination, economic security, and political participation. According to Keshav Suri, Executive Director of The LaLiT Suri Hospitality Group, “when individuals are empowered with opportunity and respect, they help build a more equitable and inclusive society.” This empowerment goes beyond simply improving people’s lives.

Being one of the biggest private-sector employers in the nation, the group employs more than 250 transgender people across all of its operations. The organization boasted that it had connected with over 10,000 job-seekers through thirteen LGBTQIA+ job fairs, leading to over 1,500 placements.

Khajuraho, Bekal, Mangar, and Goa are now part of the company’s destination-linked skilling programs, which aim to develop local hospitality talent in line with the increasing tourism in the area. The LaLiT Suri Hospitality School and the Hotel Association of India are both part of its training ecosystem.

The organization boasts that 350 people have taken part in vocational and creative workshops run by the Keshav Suri Foundation, and that over 3,000 LGBTQIA+ people have received training through PrideKraft.
