A new hotel in Janakpur, Nepal, has been signed by Lemon Tree Hotels Limited, bolstering its position in the South Asian market. Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited, will oversee operations at the forthcoming Lemon Tree Hotel, Janakpur.
This brings the total number of properties in Lemon Tree Hotels’ international portfolio to eleven. The company now has six hotels that are open for business and five more that are in the planning stages in Nepal, Bhutan, and Dubai. Along with the recently inked property, the company’s Nepal portfolio now includes three hotels that are open for business and five more that are in various stages of development.
The hotel, which is set to open in Janakpurdham in Nepal’s Dhanusha district, will provide 85 rooms, a restaurant, a banquet hall, a swimming pool, a spa, a fitness center, and meeting and conference facilities.
Many people from Nepal and India come to Janakpur for religious and leisurely reasons because of its reputation as a major South Asian religious site. During holidays like Vivah Panchami and Ram Navami, the city experiences a surge in visitor footfall.
