As wellness-led travel continues to grow among Indian luxury travellers, JOALI BEING has announced a week-long programme to celebrate Global Wellness Day 2026. Taking place from 6–12 June 2026, leading up to Global Wellness Day on 13th June, the immersive island-wide experience is inspired by this year’s global theme, #JoyMagenta, centered around four pillars: Joy in Gratitude, Joy through Connection, Joy in Movement and Joy through Creativity.

Celebrated across the globe, Global Wellness Day encourages individuals and communities to reconnect with healthier, more mindful ways of living through movement, mindfulness, creativity and meaningful human connection. At JOALI BEING, the celebration has been designed around the island’s philosophy of “Joy of Well-Living”, where wellness extends beyond just treatments into emotional balance, reconnection, and purposeful living. Rooted in the Four Pillars of Mind, Skin, Microbiome and Energy,  the island- wide programme invites guests to slow down, reconnect with themselves and others, and embrace wellbeing through nature – led experiences and meaningful shared moments.

Leading up to Global Wellness Day, guests can participate in a series of mindful activations inspired by the official Global Wellness Day 7-Step Manifesto. Experiences include a 12,000-step challenge, family wellness sessions, wellbeing conversations around hydration and nutrition, nourishing culinary experiences and mindful workshops, Recycled Art House and marine conservation experiences, sunset gatherings, community clean-up initiatives, and guided meditation rituals beneath the island’s Gratitude Tree overlooking the ocean.

The celebrations culminate on 13th June with a curated line-up of immersive island experiences including wellness breakfast bowls inspired by nourishing ingredients, a barefoot island run, guided house reef snorkelling, sea turtle conservation experiences at the Olive Ridley Sea Turtle Care Centre, Zumba sessions at CORE, and “The Transformative Power of Joy”, a beachside gathering featuring movement, music, creativity, and mindful social experiences.

As part of the celebrations, JOALI BEING will also welcome students from R. Kinolhas School for a half-day community wellbeing programme focused on connection, sustainability and ocean discovery.

With India’s wellness tourism market projected to reach a revenue of USD 257.94 Billion by 2034, destinations such as JOALI BEING continue to reflect the growing demand among Indian travellers for immersive wellness journeys that combine luxury, longevity, mindfulness, and meaningful connection.
