Debjeet Banerjee is now the General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Ludhiana. The general management, positioning, sales, strategic growth plans, and administration of the hotel will fall within Banerjee’s purview in this capacity. “A great luxury hotel for guests and a great workplace for employees.” His mission is unwavering: to create long-term value for owners and stakeholders while maintaining a strong focus on profitability.

The Park New Delhi, Taj Lands’ End Mumbai, Taj Palace New Delhi, and Grand Hyatt New Delhi are just a few of the prestigious hospitality companies that Banerjee has guided throughout his career. His ability to construct high-performing teams and provide excellent guest experiences is complemented by his strong operational acumen and focus on team development.

While at the helm, Banerjee will work to improve the hotel’s standing in the market, make guests’ stays more memorable, push for operational excellence, and cultivate a people-first culture that encourages professional development and expansion. Lokesh Sabharwal, the Regional Vice President of Operations, will be his boss.

Hosting prominent international events like the G20, B20, and Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2023—welcoming world leaders, heads of state, and senior government officials—has also been an important role for Banerjee. With a BA from the University of North Bengal and an HIHM diploma from the International Institute of Hotel Management, he has a solid educational background. Additionally, he is certified by the Cornell School of Hotel Administration in Strategic Marketing for Hotels and Strategic Finance.
