A new wellness destination is in the works for Hyderabad, India, thanks to a collaboration between Atmantan Wellness Centre and Swela Realty LLP, according to an announcement by The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL). Inspired by their mother’s goal to construct a world-class wellness center in Hyderabad, Swaran Charlakola and Spoorthi Reddy of Swela Realty LLP will develop the project. Dr. Sweta Reddy passed away in 2016.
With an anticipated opening in 2028–29, this 100-room luxury wellness resort will encompass 50 acres and be situated approximately one hour from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. There will be around 180,000 square feet of total built-up area in the project, with 80,000 of that being devoted to health and wellness facilities.
The city of Hyderabad was chosen because of its proximity to foreign markets, excellent transport links to other major cities in India, and increasing emphasis on wellness, according to the company. Guests interested in wellness, preventative healthcare, and longevity programs, as well as high-net-worth individuals from India and throughout the world, will be the center’s primary focus.
“We were immediately drawn to the natural beauty and energy of this land,” expressed Sharmilee Kapur and Nikhil Kapur, co-founders of Atmantan, discussing the news. Meeting the Charlakola family, led by Mr. Swaran Charlakola, whose strong faith in natural medicine shapes their approach to health and healing, was also quite important. Their goals and ours are very similar in that we both believe that wellness programs should be holistic, grounded in research, and intended to have long-term effects. If we can work together, we can make Hyderabad a place where people can go to recover their health, get back in touch with nature, and enjoy the finest in integrated wellness.
Atmantan is known for its large-format wellness centers, and this destination will follow suit with all of their future projects. It will have 100 rooms, which means we can accommodate 130-150 visitors per day. People all across the world, including in India, are actively searching out our Integrated Wellness approach.
“This partnership with Atmantan marks an important step in bringing a world-class integrated wellness destination to Hyderabad,” shared Swaran Charlakola, Director of Swela Realty LLP, when asked about the partnership. Lifespan is becoming a more publicly discussed topic around the globe. We see the current discussion about longevity as more than just a fad; it represents a sea change in people’s aspirations for a long and healthy life, and as firm believers in the efficacy of natural and holistic medicine, we welcome this development. Our common aim, long-term value, and dedication to reinventing wellness in the region will be brought to life as we establish a sanctuary with the Atmantan Team.
Ecological preservation, biophilic design features, local cultural integration, and aspirations for Gold LEED certification are some of the sustainability-focused characteristics that the property will integrate. Health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, stress reduction, and overall wellness will all be part of the center’s curriculum.
