In celebration of World Environment Day on June 5, ITC Grand Chola is hosting two unique dining events that will highlight sustainable practices, seasonal ingredients, and traditional Indian cooking techniques.

The events will take place at the Madras Pavilion and the Royal Vega, and the dishes will be based on mindful eating and seasonal ingredients.

An exclusive supper buffet showcasing dishes made using seasonal and regionally sourced ingredients will be served at Madras Pavilion by the hotel. The sustainable dining concepts that informed the buffet’s design prioritised using ingredients that were in season and sourced in an ethical manner.

On June 5, the dining experience will be open from 6:30 pm to 11:30 pm.

Grishma Ritu, the Indian summer, will provide as inspiration for Royal Vega’s vegetarian food. This hand-picked assortment celebrates the changing of the seasons with dishes that draw on traditional Indian recipes and ingredients.

On June 5, you may have lunch and supper with a cuisine that highlights the link between eating seasonally, being healthy, and consuming sustainably. By using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, the restaurant hopes to demonstrate how traditional Indian cuisine has always included ecological ideals.

The hotel claims that its World Environment Day dining events will provide guests with the opportunity to savour seasonal and regional cuisine while contemplating the interconnectedness of food, the environment, and sustainable lifestyle choices.
