The Rajasthan Tourism Department, under the visionary leadership of Minister Vishvendra Singh, marked a momentous occasion at the Rajasthan International Center on 4th August in Jaipur with the inauguration of five splendid promotional films. These films, crafted to perfection, aim to spotlight the mesmerizing tourism offerings of the state, captivating the hearts of both domestic and international travelers. The launch event was graced by the presence of accomplished actor-director Farhan Akhtar, who lent his voice to the occasion.

Renowned for its majestic forts, palaces, vibrant festivals, and rich folk culture, Rajasthan has long been a beacon of cultural heritage and natural beauty. The newly unveiled films take viewers on an immersive journey through the grandeur of yesteryears, encapsulating the royal lifestyle, bustling street fairs, and lively folk festivals that define the essence of this incredible land.

During the event, Farhan Akhtar delivered a moving recitation of the poem ‘To Zinda Ho Tum’ from the iconic movie ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara,’ dedicating it to the state’s Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. The films, produced by Farhan Akhtar’s production company, Excel Media, carry the evocative tagline ‘Rajasthan Lage Kuch Apna Sa,’ a heartfelt tribute to the state’s unique essence. This tagline will complement the well-loved slogan ‘Padharo Mhare Desh,’ as stated by Chief Government Secretary Gayatri Rathore.

Both Farhan Akhtar and producer Ritesh Sidhwani, present at the event, spoke passionately about Rajasthan’s significance and charm. Farhan expressed, “Rajasthan is a jewel in India’s crown. Whenever we converse with people abroad and invite them to visit India, Rajasthan is the first name that springs to their lips. It’s our pride.” He elaborated on the film’s narrative, which revolves around a solo traveler, capturing the beauty, diversity, and welcoming spirit of the state. The film aims to showcase the safety, warmth, and hospitality of Rajasthan, with a special focus on highlighting the experiences of solo female travelers.

“It is with immense pride and joy that we present these promotional films, which are a testament to the timeless charm and allure of Rajasthan,” declared Minister Vishvendra Singh.

Produced in collaboration with the esteemed film production house M/s Excel Entertainment, Mumbai, these films are a product of meticulous planning and execution by the Rajasthan Tourism Department. “Our goal with these films is to not only showcase the splendid heritage and culture of Rajasthan but also to inspire wanderlust among travelers, encouraging them to embark on a journey of discovery in this land of myriad hues,” added the Minister.

Rajasthan’s unique geographical diversity, spanning from lush forests to captivating deserts, has made it a prime destination for both nature enthusiasts and cultural connoisseurs. The state’s increasing popularity among domestic tourists complements its longstanding allure for international visitors, cementing its position as a premier travel destination.

Chief Secretary Usha Sharma, who graced the event, lauded Rajasthan’s incomparable offerings, noting, “Rajasthan’s vibrant tapestry of experiences, from adventure to royalty, cuisine to festivals, is truly unparalleled. A single lifetime is inadequate to fully savor the spectrum of colors that Rajasthan has to offer.”

A highlight of the event was the announcement by Principal Secretary of Tourism, Gayatri Rathod, regarding the launch of a groundbreaking film tourism promotion policy. This policy aims to encourage filmmakers to capture Rajasthan’s enchanting landscapes on camera by offering subsidies for film shooting and waiving all fees associated with filming at government-owned landmarks. The streamlined single-window system for obtaining permissions and necessary facilities further enhances Rajasthan’s appeal as a film production destination.

This strategic collaboration between Rajasthan Tourism and Bollywood stalwarts promises to offer a fresh perspective on the state’s rich cultural tapestry, drawing travelers from far and wide to explore the many wonders that Rajasthan has to offer.
