Shivani Singh Deo has been appointed as the Country Manager for India. Shivani has been the Marketing and Communications Manager for Virgin Atlantic for the past eight years. Throughout her career, Shivani has gained international exposure in retail, media, and lifestyle industries.

Shivani has significantly increased Virgin Atlantic’s brand presence in India and has successfully led notable launches such as Mumbai, our second daily Delhi service, and our IndiGo codeshare partnership, resulting in significant media exposure and PR. Her promotion is a testament to her impressive performance in this role and highlights her commitment to recognizing and nurturing talent from within the team. Shivani will now lead commercial strategy in India during an exciting period as Virgin Atlantic expands its India network further in 2024 with the launch of a daily London Heathrow to Bengaluru service from 31st March 2024.

Shivani expressed her excitement on her appointment and stated that she is looking forward to leading the dynamic team in India as a part of Virgin Atlantic. She also mentioned that the team will continue to prioritize the needs of the customers and take advantage of the incredible growth opportunities in the Indian market.

Alex McEwan will remain the Country Manager for the region until the end of 2023. He will then hand over his responsibilities to Shivani as she takes over as the Country Manager from January 1st, 2024. In the new year, Alex will assume the position of Senior Manager for the Asia Pacific region.
