The increasing demand for leisure travel, weekend vacations, and spiritual tourism across Maharashtra has contributed to a spike in occupancy at Sayaji Kolhapur during the recent summer travel season.

Guests from all walks of life, including families, businesspeople, and those interested in South Maharashtra’s rich cultural history, kept the hotel busy throughout the busiest travel months. One reason for the uptick in visitors to Kolhapur is the better access it now has from major cities like Goa, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Pune.

The hotel claims that short-haul destinations that provide convenience, accessibility, and authentic local experiences are becoming increasingly popular as a result of shifting customer tastes.

“The hospitality landscape in Kolhapur has evolved significantly over the last few years, with the city witnessing growing traction as both a leisure and transit destination,” commented Mukesh Rakshit, General Manager, Sayaji Kolhapur, on the trend. There has been a surge in business-leisure combos, religious visitors, families, and weekend warriors this summer. The market’s momentum has been boosted by the increasing popularity of road trips and the demand for culturally rich places.

Both group bookings and reservations for longer weekends have been on the rise at the hotel. Travellers passing through on their way to Goa and the southern Indian states have helped boost seasonal tourism in Kolhapur.

Guests and business travellers alike can take advantage of the hotel’s accommodations, restaurants, banquet spaces, and services.
