Further solidifying the luxury hotel brand Regent’s affiliation with key global cinema festivals, it has been designated as the Official Hotel Partner of the 28th Shanghai International cinema Festival (SIFF). The festival will run from June 12 to 21, 2026. Filmmakers, actors, and industry heavyweights will gather at the Regent Shanghai on the Bund for the festival’s Official Opening Gala dinner, which will be held in the hotel’s ballroom with views of the Huangpu River and the Shanghai skyline, thanks to the collaboration.

The Shanghai International Film Festival SIFF PROJECT Regent Presents “Cinematic Escapes” Special Focus Award, created to foster new creative voices in the industry and support upcoming filmmakers, was also launched as part of the collaboration.

The company’s concept of contemporary luxury is seamlessly integrated into these filmic interactions.This collaboration with Shanghai International Film Festival showcases Regent’s rich cinematic history and its ongoing commitment to China as part of its worldwide expansion. Our goal is to make sure that festivalgoers have an unforgettable experience at every stage, from the Opening Gala reception to the immersive brand moments, co-production project initiatives, and beyond. Regent has partnered with the Hong Kong Film Awards and the Cannes film calendar through the Carlton Cannes, a Regent Hotel, and now they are expanding their participation with the worldwide film business with a Shanghai connection.

In addition to the festival-themed dishes and drinks, Regent Shanghai on the Bund will be offering special desserts and beverages during the event.

A total of twelve properties, located in cities including Jeddah, Kuala Lumpur, Kyoto, Shenzhen, Chengdu, and Riyadh, are in the works at Regent. The company now runs eleven hotels and resorts around the world.
