The Gonville Hotel in Cambridge, which is a part of Radisson Individuals, has joined Radisson Hotel Group’s portfolio in the United Kingdom. The 92-room, high-end hotel expands the company’s reach in a prime location for business and leisure travellers in the United Kingdom. The hotel is the latest addition to the expanding network of independent properties known as Radisson Individuals. These facilities are part of the Radisson Hotel Group’s global platform, but they nonetheless maintain their distinct identities.
“We are delighted to welcome The Gonville Hotel into our Radisson Individuals family,” commented Joep Peeters, Chief Operating Officer Franchise EMEA, Radisson Hotel Group, on the inclusion. This stunning and ancient resort is the epitome of Radisson Individuals—a commitment to provide guests with an unforgettable experience that highlights the unique history, culture, and hospitality of each place they visit. The perfect complement to our expanding global portfolio of properties, thanks to its one-of-a-kind combination of rich history, meticulous design, and outstanding guest experiences.
Converted from a residence for Gonville & Caius College’s Senior Fellows in 1830, the building is now a boutique hotel with a variety of accommodation types including classic, superior, and feature. Inspired by the Cambridge University Botanical Gardens, eight feature bedrooms are housed in the historic Gresham House.
Gonville Kitchen, an AA Two Rosette restaurant, and The Long Bar, serving cocktails and local beers and wines, are part of the hotel’s food and drink options. Gresham House Wellness provides access to wellness amenities, including three treatment rooms that provide ESPA treatments.
The hotel has been recognised for its sustainability endeavours with Green Tourism Gold certification. It has five meeting and event facilities that can accommodate up to 100 guests.
We are thrilled to become a part of Radisson Individuals and become part of the Radisson Hotels family,” stated David Chaplin, Chairman of The Gonville Hotel. We can remain a family-run hotel in Cambridge while being an active member of the Radisson Hotels group thanks to the “Radisson Individuals” brand. Having an affiliation with Radisson Hotels should help us reach a global audience, which is becoming more important in the hospitality industry. We are excited to welcome Radisson’s international clientele to the Gonville Hotel and take guest engagement to the next level.
Within walking distance of the city’s universities, museums, and cultural attractions, this hotel overlooks Parker’s Piece in central Cambridge.
