Tourism Secretary Ravi Jain highlighted the department’s efforts to promote popular wedding destinations and heritage sites in lesser-known districts as wedding venues. He stated that Rajasthan has become an ideal location for destination weddings with its blend of heritage and modern amenities. Under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, the state’s tourism sector is advancing towards a harmonious integration of tradition and modernity.

Jain also mentioned the successful organization of India’s first “Wed in India” Expo in Jaipur in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The event saw participation from 16 international and 50 domestic wedding planners, further cementing Rajasthan’s reputation as a wedding destination.

Destination weddings typically involve guests staying for three to four days and celebrating in a themed setting at heritage venues. According to Deputy Director Dalip Singh Rathore, Rajasthan has consistently received accolades as the best wedding destination over the past five years.
