With the signing of its first property in Ayodhya, OPO Hotels & Resorts has launched Rahitya, its new premium brand targeting the midscale and upper-midscale hospitality category. The company has expanded into Uttar Pradesh with the signing of a management agreement for Rahitya Premier Anant, Ayodhya. The signing of the agreement took place on June 24, 2026, and the hotel is expected to open its doors in the middle of July.

The property, which is close to Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, will include 50 guest rooms at the beginning and hopes to increase that number to 150 in the subsequent phase. Guests will be able to enjoy the hotel’s 70-cover all-day dining restaurant, 150-capacity event hall, 300-capacity landscaped lawn, and, in the near future, a spa, fitness center, and children’s zone.

The debut coincides with the ongoing rise in religious tourism to Ayodhya, which is being bolstered by improvements to infrastructure and better accessibility via air, rail, and road. Pilgrims, honeymooners, business travellers, and large groups are the target demographics, according to the property’s developer.

“The launch of Rahitya marks a defining milestone in OPO Hotels & Resorts’ growth journey,” stated Sandeep Basu, Chief Executive Officer of OPO Hotels & Resorts. Rahitya, our premium hospitality brand, was born out of the need to meet the demands of modern, upscale vacationers who prefer quality over quantity when it comes to their lodgings. Ayodhya, one of India’s most rapidly developing tourist destinations, is a stunning embodiment of the country’s spiritual and cultural legacy, and we couldn’t be happier to launch the brand there with Rahitya Premier Anant.Brands in the hospitality industry have a great chance to capitalise on Ayodhya’s incredible makeover. We hope to build hotels that offer modern conveniences with genuine local experiences through Rahitya. With this launch, we are fortifying our position in North India and establishing a solid groundwork to extend the Rahitya brand to important locations around the country for leisure, spirituality, and new businesses.
