The “Ruh-e-Persia” Persian and Middle Eastern culinary festival will take place at Kyra at the Holiday Inn Cochin from May 15th through the 24th, 2026. Chef Azi Karami is in charge of curating the festival.
Authentic recipes, regional spices, and charcoal-grilled preparations are the focus of the festival’s menu, which mixes together traditional Persian and Middle Eastern dishes. Desserts influenced by regional cuisines are also available, along with mezze, kebabs, Turkish pide, rice dishes from Persia, and more.
Using only traditional Persian and Middle Eastern ingredients, Chef Karami has crafted a meal that is sure to wow. At the festival, you may find some of the best delicacies in the world, like hummus with beef, kunafa, baklava, sabzi polo with flamed fish, koobideh kebab, lamb dolma, zereshk polo, stuffed chicken, and more.
In his remarks regarding the event, Chef Azi Karami expressed his deep appreciation for the opportunity to share the Iranian tastes, customs, and memories that he cherished during his childhood. I aim to convey the essence of Persian hospitality and food with every bite.
Kyra, the hotel’s dining venue, is hosting the short-lived event as part of its personalised culinary experiences for Kochi guests.
