The multi-million dollar renovation project at the InterContinental Chennai Mahabalipuram Resort, which is part of the luxury and leisure portfolio of IHG Hotels & Resorts, has reached its final phase.
The newly restored beachfront resort boasts a ballroom that faces the ocean, larger beach lawns, luxury suites with plunge pools, more dining options, a sports pavilion, beautiful walking paths, a meditation garden, and more restaurants and bars.
In addition to landscaped gardens and pool areas, the facility now boasts 110 remodelled bedrooms and suites with views of the Bay of Bengal. Rooms with premium in-room amenities, separate baths, and rain showers are part of the enhanced accommodations.
Both the Presidential Suite and the Grand Presidential Suite have private pools and spa rooms with views of the ocean or the Bay of Bengal, respectively. A plunge pool, steam room, and views of the landscaped garden are all features of the newly renovated Rathi Suite.
This change is a part of InterContinental’s larger strategy to evolve its worldwide brand around providing premium experiences that are both culturally relevant and guided by specific destinations.
“The reopening of the InterContinental Chennai Mahabalipuram Resort marks an important milestone for our luxury portfolio in India,” stated Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts. Our multi-million dollar renovation is a reflection of our dedication to providing destination-led, experience-rich stays that include both world-class hospitality and a deep connection to the local area. Our renovated resort on the Coromandel Coast has been a model of eco-conscious luxury, and we can’t wait to have you return for another unforgettable stay.
