India completes 75 years of its Independence this month. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his 76th Independence Day speech from the ramparts of the historic Red Fort, urged Indians to work towards a ‘viksit Bharat’ (developed India).

The Ministry of Tourism has draft ed a new National Tourism Policy. The draft policy was circulated to Central Ministries, State Governments/UT Ad ministrations and Industry Stakeholders for seeking their comments/feedback/ suggestions. The draft Policy has been updated, incorporating the suggestions/feedback received. The Ministry of Tourism has initiated the process of seeking approval from the Cabinet on the draft Policy.
