The Ministry of Tourism has unveiled Bharat Parv 2025, a grand six-day celebration of India’s diverse cultural heritage and tourism potential, from January 26th to 31st at the historic Red Fort lawns in New Delhi. Organized annually since 2016 as part of the Republic Day celebrations, this year’s event is themed ‘Dekho Apna Desh’, inspiring citizens to explore India’s rich traditions and hidden gems. The event is open to the public from January 27th to 31st, between 12 PM and 9 PM.

Uniting India Through Culture, Cuisine, and Creativity  

Bharat Parv 2025 offers an immersive platform to showcase the nation’s vibrant cultural fabric, culinary diversity, and innovative tourism initiatives.

Key highlights of this year’s Edition include:  

  • Culinary Showcase with 59 Food Stalls  

Visitors will be greeted by a gastronomic journey that includes a variety of regional cuisines presented by State Government stalls, Hotel Management Institutes, and NASVI. Interactive food demonstrations at studio kitchens add a dynamic flair to the experience.

  • Handicrafts and Handlooms with 70 Stalls  

Discover India’s artistic legacy through exhibits by KVIC, TRIFED, Tihar Jail, and other organizations. Handcrafted artefacts and textiles from across the country glimpse India’s timeless craftsmanship.

  • Tourism Pavilions Representing 34 States and 24 Ministries  

Explore the tourism treasures of India through visually engaging state pavilions supported by central ministries like Defence, Railways, Ayush, Culture, and MSME, among others.

A Cultural Extravaganza

The event will feature a mesmerizing lineup of cultural and heritage performances, including:

  • Dynamic dance performances choreographed by the North Zonal Cultural Centre (Ministry of Culture).
  • Regional acts by cultural associations like the Kannada and Gujarat Associations.
  • Special live performances by acclaimed artists.
  • Displays of Republic Day tableaux and band performances by the Army, Navy, Air Force, and paramilitary forces.

Interactive and Engaging Experiences  

Visitors can also participate in various interactive activities at the Activity Zone, including:

  • Nukkad Nataks (street plays), quizzes, and painting competitions.
  • DIY experiential workshops and activities involving Tourism Yuva Club members, school students, and college youth.

A Collective Effort to Showcase India

Bharat Parv 2025 is supported by a broad spectrum of stakeholders:

  • State and Union Territory Tourism Departments, presenting their unique travel destinations.
  • Central Ministries (22 nos.) / Departments / Organizations: Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Railway, Ministry of Ayush, MyGov (MEITY), Ministry of Education, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Textiles, M/o RTH, Ministry of Port, Shipping and Waterways, M/o DONER, MO Environment F&CC, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, India Culture Portal, IGNCA, Amar Chitra Katha, Council of Architecture, NCSM, Ministry of Mines, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Ministry of Food Processing, Ministry of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Jal Shakti (NGCM) Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of MSME, Department of Post etc.
  • Other organizations include Rashtrapati Bhawan, IHM Pusa, Tihar Jail, the National Book Trust, and the Aga Khan Trust.

‘Dekho Apna Desh’: Encouraging Exploration  

The Dekho Apna Desh initiative is a focal point of this year’s event. It engages citizens through People’s Choice Voting to spotlight emerging destinations across India. Visitors can participate by scanning the QR code.
