The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has approved 16 projects worth Rs 92.46 crore to develop and beautify various vital sites in Ayodhya. These projects, proposed by the Ayodhya Teerth Vikas Parishad, aim to enhance the tourism infrastructure of the region’s nature and cultural landmarks during the financial year. The Uttar Pradesh Projects Corporation Ltd. has been designated as the implementing agency, with strict instructions to ensure high-quality and timely execution.

Jaiveer Singh, Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister announced the approval, highlighting that the projects include the development of Kamharia Baba Temple in Tarun block, spectator galleries and tourism facilities at Ram Ki Paidi, beautification of key religious locations such as Makhoda, Bharatkund, Shravan Kshetra, the ashram of Rishi Shringi, Dashrath Samadhi Sthal, and the Thakur Ram Janki New Panchayati Temple.

Additional development includes beautifying and promoting Gahanag Baba Dham in Rampatti (Milkipur constituency), Sohewal in Suchitaganj, and the Chhawni Temple associated with Tulsidas. Plans also feature the construction of an amphitheatre and food court near Rajghat on the banks of the Saryu River, a museum and interpretation centre for Panchkoshi, Chaudahkoshi, and Chaurasi Kosi Parikramas at Saket Sadan, and a rural tourism centre in Abanpur Saroha, Masooda block.

Further beautification and restoration works will be carried out in Ward 13 (Acharya Narendra Dev area), Kaushlesh Sadan, Bhaskar Bhawan, and Sant Niwas in Ayodhya. Infrastructure enhancements underway include Ram Path, Bhakti Path, Dharma Path, and Janmabhoomi Path, the installation of ministering fans and canopies, and the addition of gazebos, benches, and lighting near Guptar Ghat for visitor convenience.

These projects are part of the state’s continued commitment to elevating Ayodhya as a global spiritual and cultural tourism destination.
