Joining forces with Fullon Hotels & Resorts, IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed HUALUXE Taipei, bringing the HUALUXE brand to Taiwan for the first time and adding to IHG’s premium portfolio.

Located next to Yuanshan MRT Station in Taipei’s historic Dalongdong area, the 199-room hotel is set to open in 2026. This project is the next step in the ongoing cooperation between IHG and Fullon Hotels & Resorts, which began with their work on voco Chiayi.

The deal takes place at a time when Taiwan’s hotel industry is seeing record-breaking demand from both locals and tourists, as well as an uptick in interest in culturally intensive vacations.

Taipei Confucius Temple, Dalongdong Baoan Temple, and the old Dadaocheng neighbourhood are all within easy reach of HUALUXE Taipei. Hotel guests will be able to enjoy HUALUXE’s signature tea culture, culinary experiences, and social gatherings, all while learning about and celebrating the local history.

“The signing of HUALUXE Taipei marks another important milestone in our partnership with Fullon Hotels & Resorts and another step forward as IHG brings HUALUXE Hotels & Resorts to more markets around the world,” commented Daniel Aylmer, Chief Executive Officer, Greater China, IHG Hotels & Resorts. Taipei is the perfect place for HUALUXE to make its debut in the Taiwanese market because of its well-established corporate demand, international connectivity, and rich cultural depth. We are excited to work with Fullon to deliver an exceptional hospitality experience that is uniquely Taiwanese, bringing together locals and visitors from across the world. Our goal is to help build Taiwan’s hospitality industry for the future.

Joseph Yang, the Group General Manager of Fullon Hotels & Resorts, expressed his admiration for HUALUXE’s dedication to culturally rooted hospitality, thoughtful details, and traditions, saying that it aligns well with Fullon’s long-standing practice of providing warm, attentive service. We strive to provide a top-notch stay experience that embodies the genuine hospitality of Taiwan to guests from all over the globe by integrating the rich cultural heritage of Taiwan with the global viewpoint of our brand.

As of the first quarter of 2026, HUALUXE, which launched in 2012, has 27 hotels that are actively operational and 20 properties that are in the pipeline worldwide. As a result of its 2008 market entry, IHG presently runs 17 hotels under eight different brands in Taiwan.
