A partnership between Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Om Arham Ventures has been announced for a 190-room luxury hotel in Guwahati, Assam. Opening ceremonies for the brownfield development are set for the middle of 2028.
With this deal, Wyndham has officially entered the Guwahati market, which is booming in Northeast India as a tourist and business destination. To cater to the changing tastes of guests in the area, the hotel will be strictly vegetarian and have 190 rooms and suites available to them.
The hotel is set to be a full-service, high-end establishment with a variety of dining options, meeting spaces, and leisure facilities like a pool, spa, and fitness center. Weddings, social gatherings, and meetings, incentives, and conventions (MICE) are sure to fill its spacious banquet halls.
Guwahati is quickly becoming a major economic and tourist hub for Northeast India, and we are thrilled to bring our Wyndham brand to the city,” stated Rahool Macarius, Market Managing Director, Eurasia, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. We are witnessing a surge in demand for high-end hospitality experiences due to the expanding connectivity and economic activity in the region. This deal further solidifies our plan to enter fast-growing gateway regions and provide internationally renowned brands through Wyndham’s extensive distribution network.
Owners Vijay Singh Daga and Pankaj Kumar Jain of Om Arham Ventures expressed their pride in partnering with Wyndham to bring a globally renowned luxury brand to Guwahati. The hotel’s large function space and commitment to vegetarianism give us great hope that it will become the region’s premier venue for high-end gatherings.
