Evolve Back Kuruba Safari Lodge, which is situated on the banks of the Kabini River and next to Nagarhole National Park, has once again started providing wildlife safaris for clients in compliance with the new rules. Authorities have announced a staggered reopening, and in the meantime, safari activities are continuing with a reduced number of vehicles and seating capacity.
Safaris in the Kabini region formally resumed on February 22, 2026, under new operational parameters released by forest and wildlife officials, following the Karnataka Forest Department’s statement on the restoration of safari activities across the Bandipur and Nagarahole tiger reserves. After a suspension of several weeks, which affected tourism and local lives all over the Bandipur-Nagarahole-Kabini region, the resumption has taken place. Responsible access to the forest habitat is ensured since the reopening is anticipated to progressively revitalise wildlife tourism in the area.
“Safaris are an integral part of the Kabini experience, allowing guests to witness one of India’s richest wildlife habitats,” commented Jose Ramapuram, director of marketing, Evolve Back, in response to the news. The local ecosystem, which includes stakeholders and communities that rely on ethical wildlife tourism for their livelihoods, is optimistic about the return of safari activities. The lush forests of Kabini are sure to be a memorable experience for repeat visitors.
Inspired by the customs of the native Kadu Kuruba people, Evolve Back Kuruba Safari Lodge is nestled in tropical forests on the banks of the Kabini River. Celebrating the region’s natural and cultural legacy, Evolve Back’s Spirit of the Land philosophy is reflected in the lodge’s unique animal encounters.
