Training capacity for the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council’s (THSC) CSR-led women’s skilling project will increase from 150 in FY 2024-25 to 300 in FY 2025-26. A goal of 600 women’s skill development in FY 2026-27 has been established by the council.

Companies in the hospitality industry, such as Hilton Hotels, The Oberoi Group, Marriott International, and Delta Corp Ltd., hired qualified candidates in FY 2025-26. With constant retention rates, several applicants were able to get foreign positions as well.

Food and beverage service, front desk, and housekeeping are the primary entry-level occupations included in the program. Immersion in the industry, classroom instruction, hands-on experience, and the development of soft skills are all part of the program. Assam, Manipur, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh are among the states that have participated in the mobilisation.

“This initiative is a strong example of how structured skilling can drive real social and economic impact,” said Jyoti Mayal, Chairperson, THSC. Every step has fortified our determination to accomplish more, expand our horizons, and make a difference that will last. We are dedicated to promoting diversity and enabling women to actively contribute to the growth of the hospitality sector as we work toward our goal of skilling 600 women in the next year.

The continual scaling up of this CSR initiative—from 150 to 300, and now with a target of 600—reflects both the expanding demand for skilled labour in the hotel sector and the success of our industry-aligned training methodology,” stated Rajan Bahadur, CEO of THSC. By spearheading this program, THSC is demonstrating how to build a workforce that is both inclusive and relevant to the business. We are committed to providing high-quality training that leads to fulfilling jobs and long-term professional success.
