What is common between cricket and a hotel group? Well, both fill in the leisure quantum of the nation. India is a cricket loving country and Lords Hotels and Resorts too is passionate about the game and has been involved in the capacity of a hospitality partner.
Lords’ association with BCCI was established few months back after much hard work and mainly after competing against the best of the best corporate & hospitality establishments of the country. Guided by stalwarts of the game, who advised the group to start their innings with a state association.
The persuasion fetched fruit and Lords scored well with BCCI bagging the preferred hospitality partnership. With this they got involved with many winning tournaments conducted by BCCI; from the state level domestic cricket matches, Club level, Company matches, and Special Sen. Women’s team to India A team.
This year, the Under 19 Team of Cooch Bihar, Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association, BCCI felicitated Lords Hotels & Resorts for its tireless service towards the care of the team members. Pushpendra Bansal, COO, Lords Hotels & Resorts is elated with this appreciation and expressed his gratitude with this fruitful association by stating that “Lords is a group that is involved in promoting leisure and the game of cricket being one of a kind; and we also like promoting young talents and what better way than being associated with BCCI & the favorite game of India.”
Lords Hotels & Resorts had to strive hard to keep up with the standards of the BCCI, in fact, as per Prasad Bhoir, Accounts Manager, who has been the main point of contact from Lords Hotels & Resorts shares the experience “it has been a huge challenge to meet up with the strict BCCI standards, especially with their Bio Bubble protocol, but this was also meted with confidence – an exclusive floor was provided to the team, which was a secure environment, sanitized thrice a day. A banquet area was offered as their dedicated training area and the team was provided with exclusive gym facilities for their workouts as per the guidance of their physio therapist. We even provided tailor-made healthy menus as per the recommendations prescribed by their nutritionist.”
In the New Year, Lords Hotels & Resorts hope to pitch for new associations with BCCI and to score a century with this alliance.
