In a significant step towards strengthening its tourism ecosystem, the Karnataka Tourism Department is planning to launch ‘Namma Guide’, a dedicated website and mobile application designed to offer seamless travel assistance and authentic tourism information to domestic and international visitors.

The upcoming digital platform is expected to serve as a one-stop resource for travellers, providing comprehensive information on Karnataka’s heritage attractions, cultural experiences, natural destinations, accommodation options, local transportation, dining facilities, and last-mile connectivity. The initiative will also enable tourists to access details of registered tourist guides, helping ensure reliable and professional visitor services across the state.

According to reports, the platform will focus on enhancing visitor convenience through real-time information, multilingual support, and improved access to the destination. The project is being developed through a collaborative approach involving the tourism department and private stakeholders, with the objective of making travel across Karnataka more organised, informative, and visitor-friendly.

Industry observers believe that digital initiatives such as Namma Guide can play a vital role in promoting lesser-known destinations, encouraging longer visitor stays, and creating new livelihood opportunities for local communities and tourism service providers.

With Karnataka continuing to invest in tourism infrastructure and digital transformation, the proposed platform is expected to further strengthen the state’s position as one of India’s leading tourism destinations, offering travellers easier access to authentic experiences across its diverse cultural, heritage, wildlife, and nature-based attractions.
