Finnair strengthens its Southern European network and will start scheduled flights to Catania, Florence, Valencia, and the Greek island of Kos in summer 2026. Catania, Florence, and Valencia are now offering new flight destinations, while Kos has previously operated as a charter flight.
Italy, Spain, and Greece are particularly popular with our Finnish and Northern European customers during the summer months. The new destinations complement our Southern European network, offering both beach holidays and culture, and the travel period extends from spring to autumn,” says Christine Rovelli, Finnair’s Chief Revenue Officer.

Next summer, Finnair will fly twice a week to Florence, Italy’s all-time favourite and the home of art history, and three times a week to Catania, on the island of Sicily, showcasing the authentic southern Italian way of life. There will also be two weekly departures to Spain’s third biggest city, Valencia, and the island of Kos, known for its sandy beaches.

Finnair offers a strong selection of Southern European destinations for summer 2026. In Italy, Finnair also flies to Rome, Milan, Naples, Venice, Verona, and Bologna. In Spain, it flies to Madrid, Málaga, Alicante, Barcelona, Palma, and Tenerife, as well as Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, and Lanzarote on the Canary Islands. Additionally, it serves Chania, Heraklion, Rhodes, and Santorini in Greece.
