Jamaica invites UK cricket fans to turn this summer’s Caribbean Premier League (CPL) into an unforgettable experience. Enjoy world-class T20 cricket, adventure, and everything the island has to offer.

Kingston is gearing up for an unforgettable week of cricket as the CPL returns from 11–18 August, marking the Jamaica Kingsmen’s home debut at Sabina Park, Jamaica’s iconic cricket ground. CPL matchdays here are far more than sport alone. Fans can expect a high-energy atmosphere where international cricket meets a passionate home crowd, set against the backdrop of Kingston and sweeping views of the Blue Mountains.

“Cricket has always been part of Jamaica’s soul. The CPL gives us an incredible chance to showcase the best of our island to the world. We are proud to welcome UK fans this August, not just as spectators, but as guests of Jamaica. This is the kind of tourism that creates lasting connections between people and places. We look forward to sharing our culture, coastlines, and warmth with every visitor who makes the journey,” says Hon. Edmund Bartlett, Minister of Tourism, Jamaica.

This excitement is shared across Jamaica’s leadership.

” Jamaica has long captivated travellers with its unmistakable spirit and charm, and there’s no better way to experience that than through the energy of CPL cricket at Sabina Park. We want UK visitors to see this as more than a match; it’s a gateway to everything the island offers, from our coastlines and culture to our food, music and people. Come for the cricket, stay for Jamaica,” saysDonovan White, Director of Tourism, Jamaica Tourist Board.

In August, Jamaica is scheduled to host four CPL fixtures at Sabina Park. Matches include games against the Barbados Tridents (11 August), Guyana Amazon Warriors (13 August), Trinbago Knight Riders (15 August), and St Kitts & Nevis Patriots (18 August). All matches kick off at 7:00 PM local time.

The tournament draws the biggest names in Caribbean cricket, with the likes of Andre Russell, Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard and Sunil Narine among those expected to feature at Sabina Park this August. Additional international stars from England, Pakistan, Australia and Sri Lanka are set to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

For UK travellers, CPL Jamaica is the perfect base for a full island itinerary. Stay in Kingston for match nights before exploring the island. In Montego Bay, enjoy luxury resorts and relaxed all-inclusive stays. In Ocho Rios, combine sport with family adventure through river rafting and rainforest ziplining. In Negril, unwind on Seven Mile Beach or watch the sun go down from the famous cliffs – the perfect contrast to the buzz of the stadium.

Beyond the cricket, Kingston’s evenings have plenty to offer. Explore the city’s vibrant nightlife, from open-air events and sessions at Dub Club, which overlooks the skyline, to bars and local food spots. Enjoy jerk chicken, patties, and Jamaica’s iconic rum and Red Stripe. By day, immerse yourself in Kingston’s rich cultural scene. Discover street art, local galleries, and museums celebrating the island’s legendary music heritage.

The UK and Jamaica share a deep cricketing connection, reflected in players such as Devon Malcolm and Mark Butcher, both former England internationals.

Short-format cricket is growing in popularity across the UK, through The Hundred and the T20 Blast. CPL offers fans a natural next step: an overseas cricket experience that is both premium and deeply authentic.

UK fans looking to make a holiday of it can book an 11-night package through Sackville Travel that covers the CPL matches in Jamaica. Packages are available from 8–19 August 2026 and are priced from £2,360 per person (excluding match tickets).
