Shova Lama is now the Sikkim public relations officer for Summit Hotels & Resorts. Shova Lama’s new position requires her to fortify the company’s ties with numerous state agencies and public organisations.
Room reservations for official travel, hospitality arrangements for government meetings and conferences, and developing new institutional business prospects are all part of her job description. In addition, she will fortify Summit’s position in the regional events and social hospitality market by collaborating with neighbourhood groups and organisations to market the properties as sites for private parties, weddings, and other social events. Shova Lama is helping the business out with empanelment and government registrations, as well as with compliance and paperwork issues, as part of her duties. She is also responsible for assisting the company’s Northeast growth goals by communicating with parties in adjacent states to identify possible hotel assets to lease and add to Summit’s portfolio.
“The Northeast has always been central to Summit’s journey, and Sikkim in particular remains one of our strongest operating regions,” remarked Sumit Mitruka, CEO of Summit Hotels & Resorts, in response to the appointment. Establishing stronger linkages with governmental agencies, local communities, and regional stakeholders is becoming more and more crucial as our network of assets expands over the hills. Through Shova’s work, we will be able to fortify these ties and forward our expansion plans throughout the greater Northeast.
