This June, Courtyard by Marriott Bengaluru Hebbal invites food lovers to embark on a culinary journey to Tangra, Kolkata’s iconic Chinatown, with a week-long food festival at The Hebbal Cafe. Running from 11th June to 17th June. The festival will showcase the bold, smoky and nostalgic flavours that have made Tangra-style Indo-Chinese cuisine a beloved part of India’s culinary landscape.
Known for its unique fusion of Chinese cooking traditions and Indian flavours, Tangra cuisine is celebrated for its fiery woks, aromatic spices and comforting classics. At The Hebbal Cafe, guests can immerse themselves in this rich culinary heritage through a specially curated menu by Chef Bhaskar Tamang, featuring signature dishes that capture the spirit of legendary Chinese kitchens.

The menu brings together an enticing selection of favourites, including Golden Fried Prawns, Pork Wontons in Chilli Oil, Sliced Pork in Oyster Sauce, Tangra-style Mixed Chow Mein and the ever-popular Chilli Chicken. Vegetarian diners can indulge in dishes such as Crispy Chilli Baby Corn, Wok-Tossed Noodles and a flavour-packed Vegetable Manchurian. Each prepared using traditional high-heat wok techniques that deliver Tangra’s characteristic smoky finish.
Adding to the celebrations, The Hebbal Cafe will host a special “Wok Through Tangra” Sunday Brunch on 14th June, offering guests an opportunity to savour the festival’s standout dishes alongside an extensive spread of global and Indian favourites. The brunch experience will be complemented by unlimited mocktails, live music and an engaging family-friendly atmosphere designed to recreate the vibrant energy of the cuisine.
