Haridwar is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in India, and BWH Hotels has strengthened its position in the Uttarakhand region by signing a Best Western hotel there.
This initiative is a part of the group’s larger plan to expand into neighbouring regions, which includes Mussoorie and Jim Corbett National Park. Taken as a whole, the three initiatives demonstrate an effort to diversify the state’s revenue stream by creating attractions that cater to nature, recreation, and spirituality.
The future hotel will be strategically placed near Ram Ghat, providing easy access to the Ganges riverbank and important sites including Har Ki Pauri, Saptrishi Ashram, and Daksha Mahadev Temple. With hotel rooms, an all-day eating restaurant, and meeting facilities, the resort is set to open in 2027 and accommodate both leisure and pilgrimage tourists.
“We see Uttarakhand as a multi-dimensional market with enduring demand across segments,” stated Atul Jain, Chief Operating Officer of BWH Hotels for India, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka. Our regional growth journey has reached a significant milestone with this latest agreement. We are committed to expanding carefully, aiming to be relevant in every area we visit, not just have a presence.
The proprietor of the Best Western Haridwar, Ajay Kumar Paliwal, noted that the city is seeing an increase in tourists looking for cultural and spiritual immersion. Through our partnership with BWH Hotels, we are able to introduce a reputable international chain to the city, known for its consistent high-quality, comfortable, and welcoming accommodations.
The deal is in line with BWH Hotels’ plan to grow in promising locations around India.
