Summit Hotels & Resorts has strengthened its foothold throughout the Darjeeling and Siliguri corridor with the signing of two boutique properties in North Bengal.

The 30-room Summit Falling Water Resort close to Darjeeling and the Summit Gulma River Resort in Siliguri have both been signed by the business. The hotel in Siliguri is set to open on 15 August, while the one in Darjeeling is planned to open in early January 2027. Situated in Gulma, Summit Gulma River Resort is positioned to cater to leisure and event-led demand, with views of a tea estate and river. In addition to a restaurant, bar, spa, fitness center, and studio and standard rooms with kitchenettes, the hotel will also have a banquet hall that can accommodate about 150 people.

The Fallingwater mansion served as inspiration for the architecture of Summit Falling Water, a nature-led retreat in Rangbull, close to Darjeeling. The hotel will have 30 rooms, each with a balcony, and is designed around a natural stream. Views of the vintage train are offered by the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, which passes in front of the property.Recreational tourists, newlyweds, and those seeking an authentic hill station experience continue to make North Bengal one of Eastern India’s most alluring tourist hotspots. Our concentration is on boutique properties that are profoundly connected to their environment. Summit Gulma River Resort in Siliguri and Summit Falling Water near Darjeeling are examples of this. Summit Hotels & Resorts Founder Sumit Mitruka stated, “Our aim is to create stays where the destination itself becomes the central experience for travellers.” This includes properties with tea garden landscapes on the plains and properties on hills with views of toy trains.
