Uttar Pradesh has unveiled its Export Promotion Policy for 2025 to 2030, a clear statement of intent to grow the state’s role in global markets and elevate services alongside merchandise exports. The policy gives tourism, travel, transportation, and hospitality the same priority as traditional export engines, which signals that experience led services are now part of the state’s core export strategy. For the travel trade, this shift is practical and timely, because it addresses how businesses find international demand, prove compliance, and convert leads into bookings.

The policy offers targeted support that matches the way modern travel companies operate. Grants for digital marketing will help hotels, destination management companies, tour operators, and transport providers build visibility with overseas buyers and consumers. Financial assistance for international certifications will lower the cost of meeting global standards in areas such as safety, sustainability, and service quality. Support for participation in virtual trade fairs will make it easier for small and medium enterprises to present their products and rates to international partners without heavy upfront expenses. Together, these measures improve discoverability, credibility, and access to buyers, which are the three pillars of export success for service businesses.

By formally recognizing tourism and hospitality as export sectors, the state is also inviting new investment into rooms, fleets, experiences, and technology. Larger players can scale network wide offerings, while smaller firms can enter new corridors with export ready packages that meet global benchmarks. As these firms diversify beyond domestic seasons and reach new segments abroad, the inflow of foreign exchange should increase and supply chains will deepen. Local experience providers, logistics firms, marketing studios, and content creators all stand to benefit as part of a broader services ecosystem.

Over the next five years, the most successful businesses will be the ones that treat international demand as a core channel rather than a side bet. That means mapping a certification plan, building products that suit long stay and premium segments, using data led marketing to target high intent audiences, and showing up consistently in digital trade rooms. With policy support now aligned to these tasks, Uttar Pradesh is positioned to become a meaningful hub for tourism exports and hospitality services, creating a pathway for inclusive growth that is felt from city hotels and heritage sites to transport providers and local communities.
