As part of the Republic Day celebrations, the Ministry of Tourism hosted Bharat Parv 2026, a six-day national cultural and tourism festival, at the Lawns and Gyan Path in front of the Red Fort in New Delhi from January 26 to 31, 2026.
Speaker of the Lok Sabha Om Birla and Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat inaugurated Bharat Parv 2026.
The Ministry’s premier yearly event, Bharat Parv, honours India’s rich cultural, artistic, culinary, and spiritual legacy while advancing the national programs “Dekho Apna Desh” and “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.” The festival has developed over time into a significant venue highlighting India’s variety and tourism potential.
Highlighting India’s rich cultural legacy, promoting domestic travel, giving artisans and States/UTs a stage, raising awareness of tourism, and fostering national cohesion via cultural engagement are all goals of the event.
Leading institutions and organisations from across the nation, as well as more than 25 Central Ministries and Departments, participated in the event.
Apart from 26 January, the public can attend the festival from 12 PM to 9:00 PM on January 27 to 31, 2026. It’s free to enter.
The 150th anniversary of “Vande Mataram,” the famous hymn that sparked India’s independence fight and represents solidarity, cultural pride, and love for the homeland, makes this year’s Bharat Parv particularly meaningful. The subject embodies the spirit of the constitution, which is one of participation and unity in diversity.
