The Leela Gandhinagar, the epitome of luxury hospitality in the twin cities of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, has announced the appointment of Abhesek Roy as its new Executive Sous Chef.

A culinary professional with over 15 years of experience, Chef Abhesek brings creativity,
precision, and a passion for innovation to The Leela Gandhinagar’s kitchens. He has been
associated with some of India’s most prestigious hospitality brands, including The Leela
Palace Bengaluru, The Leela Mumbai, The Lalit Mumbai, Hilton Shillim, and The Willingdon
Sports Club.

Commenting on the appointment, Vikas Sood, General Manager of The Leela Gandhinagar,
said, “We are delighted to welcome Chef Abhesek Roy to The Leela Gandhinagar. His
extensive experience across leading hospitality establishments, coupled with his creativity
and commitment to quality, will further strengthen our culinary offerings and delight our
guests with exceptional dining experiences.”

Chef Abhesek completed his Bachelor’s in Hotel Management from the Global Institute of
Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition (GIMS), Mumbai. His career spans
diverse culinary leadership roles ranging from Demi Chef de Partie to Pre-opening Sous Chef
and Brand Chef, reflecting his growth.

At The Leela Gandhinagar, Chef Abhesek will be responsible for overseeing kitchen
operations, driving culinary innovation, and curating refined dining experiences that reflect
The Leela’s signature hospitality.
