From March 25th to the 27th, an exclusive trunk exhibition was organised at the Taj Mahal New Delhi to display the first India showcase of the British legacy companies Gaziano & Girling and Turnbull & Asser. The next night, guests were invited to the hotel’s Maharaja Suite for an exclusive function.
Royal Warrant holders of His Majesty King Charles III, Tony Gaziano (Founder & Master Shoemaker, Gaziano & Girling) and James Cook (Bespoke Manager, Turnbull & Asser), were present for the display. The purpose of the event was to introduce the Indian market to individualised luxury goods and artisanal skills.
While Turnbull & Asser showcased its bespoke shirting, showcasing its legacy since 1885, Gaziano & Girling showcased its variety of bespoke and made-to-order footwear. The program aims to meet the increasing demand for luxury experiences in India’s hospitality spaces that are inspired by the country’s rich heritage.
It is with great pleasure that we curate experiences that honour legacy and craftsmanship,” stated Anmol Ahluwalia, Area Director-Operations & General Manager of the Taj Mahal in New Delhi. It is a joyous occasion to host the first-ever India tour of Royal Warrant holders Turnbull & Asser and Gaziano & Girling in the Maharaja Suite.
This partnership further solidifies the hotel’s position as a site for high-end experiential engagements and highlights its dedication to developing worldwide luxury experiences.
