Dear Readers,

As we gather in the sacred city of Puri for the 40th IATO Annual Convention, we find ourselves at a moment of celebration and reflection. This milestone convention, guided by the theme “Rejuvenate Inbound @2030: IATO’s Vision for a Resurgent India,” sets the stage for the transformative decade ahead-one filled with innovation and renewed global engagement for Indian tourism.

The past few years have demonstrated the resilience and determination of our industry. From navigating unprecedented disruptions to seizing new opportunities, Indian tourism has consistently showcased its strength. Today, the global travel landscape is evolving rapidly, and India is poised to become one of the world’s most compelling destinations. Our rich spiritual heritage, cultural diversity, natural wonders, and modern infrastructure create a tapestry that is both expansive and inspiring.

Choosing Odisha as the host state is both symbolic and strategic. Puri, with its deep spiritual aura, pristine coastline, and rich cultural heritage, exemplifies India’s untapped tourism potential. This choice also signals IATO’s commitment to promoting destinations beyond the conventional, positioning
lesser-explored regions as essential to the narrative of inbound growth.

At the heart of this vision lies IATO’s leadership and its dedicated membership. Their roadmap for 2030 is clear: strengthen partnerships between government and industry, enhance travel ease through simplified policies and visa facilitation, leverage technology and digital platforms, and empower small and medium-sized operators with the tools they need to thrive globally. These collective efforts aim not only to drive tourism numbers but also to enhance the quality and sustainability of inbound tourism.

At Travel Heights, we believe that the story of India’s inbound resurgence extends beyond professional commitment; it is a passion. Tourism is not merely about arrivals and departures; it shapes perceptions, creates livelihoods, drives investment, and fosters cultural understanding.

As IATO celebrates 40 years, this convention in Puri serves as a poignant reminder that our journey honors the past while embracing the future. By 2030, India must stand proudly as a leader in global tourism, welcoming travelers with experiences that are authentic, seamless, and unforgettable.

On behalf of Travel Heights, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to IATO and its leadership for their unwavering vision. May this convention serve not only as a celebration of our achievements but also as a catalyst for the decade ahead-one that rejuvenates inbound tourism and strengthens India’s position on the world tourism map.

Here’s to a resurgent India and a future that inspires the world to discover it.

Happy Reading!
