Rajasthan continues to shine on the global tourism map, emerging as the top destination for travelers from the United States, followed closely by the United Kingdom. The state’s diverse offerings—palaces, forts, wildlife, festivals, and heritage hospitality—are drawing tourists not only from North America and Europe but also from Asia, Australia, and South America.
According to recent data, Rajasthan recorded 2,072,407 international tourist arrivals in 2024 out of 9,657,003 foreign tourists visiting India—a remarkable 21.92% increase from 2023. The momentum continues into 2025, with 788,735 international tourists visiting Rajasthan in the first three months alone.
Mr. Daleep Singh Rathore, Joint Director of the Department of Tourism, Rajasthan, attributes this steady growth to the state’s consistent participation in major international travel trade fairs and expos. “Our presence at global platforms such as IFTM Top Resa (France), JATA Tourism Expo (Japan), WTM London (UK), FITUR (Spain), and ITB Berlin (Germany), alongside private stakeholders, has significantly strengthened Rajasthan’s global brand visibility,” said Mr Rathore.

He emphasized that Rajasthan Tourism’s strategic international promotions have ensured consistent growth in foreign arrivals, which not only boosts tourism but also generates employment and enhances local economies. Delegations representing state authorities, hotel associations, tour operators, and other tourism stakeholders have been actively showcasing Rajasthan’s vibrant culture and tourism infrastructure to global audiences.
