Radisson RED Auckland will be the first property of its kind in New Zealand and the first for the Radisson Hotel Group in Australasia, according to an announcement made by the company. This property, situated on Lorne Street in Auckland’s Arts District, offers a design-led hospitality option to the CBD.
With 322 rooms and suites, the hotel showcases the vibrant arts and cultural environment of Auckland through its interior design. Installations in the style of galleries and design features influenced by performances are found in public locations. In addition to a bar and event facilities perfect for social and business gatherings, the hotel boasts one of the biggest rooftop locations in the nation. Conveniently situated nearby are popular tourist and business destinations such as the Auckland Art Gallery, Sky Tower, and Auckland Museum.
“Auckland exemplifies the spirit of Radisson RED, which thrives in cities fuelled by creativity, culture, and community,” commented Tim Cordon, COO, MEA & SEAP, Radisson Hotel Group. Radisson RED, our upscale brand that offers a humorous spin on the conventional, can take great pride in its opening, which also signifies a significant milestone in our growth in Australasia. Auckland in RED will be the first Radisson RED in the region and the first entry from Radisson Hotel Group into New Zealand. We are excited for everyone to enjoy the vibrant energy, stunning design, and amazing moments at this hotel.
The venue on top of the property can hold up to 219 people, and there are other versatile event rooms, restaurants, and a fitness centre on the premises. “The opening of Radisson RED Auckland marks an exciting new chapter for the city, one that celebrates creativity, connection, and a distinctive new way to experience hospitality,” said Reinout Engel, general manager of Radisson RED Auckland. Our goal in creating Radisson RED Auckland was to make it more than just a hotel; we wanted it to serve as a creative centre where visitors and residents alike could connect to the vibrant energy of the central business district and immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of the city. The goal in designing each room was to make people feel more connected, inspire them to think creatively, and put some fun back into travel. Opening our doors to Auckland, we are pleased to bring a new and exciting experience that captures the essence of the city and the RED mentality.
