The signing of the Lemon Tree Hotel, Simara, Nepal by Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd further expands the company’s footprint in Nepal, as previously reported. Two hotels are already open for business in Nepal, while another five are in the planning stages, bringing the total number of establishments in the country up to seven. Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd.’s fully owned subsidiary, Carnation Hotels Private Limited, will oversee property management. As part of its plan to increase its presence in gateway and transit-led markets, which are seeing rapid expansion, the group has signed this contract.
With its convenient location just 2 km from Simara Airport, this hotel is well-suited to serve business and leisure tourists alike. The increasing desire for branded hospitality in Nepal’s rising areas is driving this demand. A multi-cuisine restaurant, a lounge, and banquet and meeting facilities will be part of the forthcoming hotel’s 98 rooms. A swimming pool, spa, and fitness center will round out the hotel’s facilities, providing guests with a well-rounded experience.
“We believe Nepal is as a structurally attractive market, where demand is expanding beyond traditional destinations into a wider network of gateway and transit-led cities,” stated Neelendra Singh, Managing Director & CEO of Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd. Where we see demand visibility and long-term growth potential, we have focused on building depth in these markets. We are able to fortify our position in the country and keep expanding our regional portfolio with the signing in Simara, which is a logical continuation of our strategy.
The move is in line with the company’s current strategy of strengthening its position in developing hospitality markets and expanding into new regions.
