The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) successfully concluded its roadshow in Kochi, Kerala on 6th June, 2024. This event, aimed at educating travel agents about the myriad experiences Korea has to offer, was marked by insightful presentations, engaging discussions, and a great turnout of enthusiastic participants.
The Kochi roadshow comes on the heels of two highly successful events held in Mumbai and Bengaluru earlier this year.
“We are thrilled with the impressive turnout and success of the Korea Roadshow 2024 in Kochi. It has been a wonderful opportunity to connect with our travel partners, and their enthusiasm has been both impressive and motivating. This event has allowed us to provide them with the tools and knowledge to promote Korea as a premier travel destination,” said Mr. Myong Kil Yun, Regional Director for India & SAARC Countries, KTO.
The event was inaugurated by Mr. Myong Kil Yun, who delivered a welcome speech, setting the tone for an informative and productive session. Esteemed guests from TAAI, SKAL, and TAFI graced the event with their valuable insights on the importance of Korean tourism.
One of the highlights of the roadshow was the comprehensive presentation by KTO India. This session delved into the unique attractions and travel opportunities in Korea, providing travel agents with the knowledge to craft unforgettable Korean itineraries for their clients. This was complemented by presentations from VFS Global, detailing the visa processing procedures, and Singapore Airlines, discussing convenient and comfortable travel options. These sessions ensured a seamless travel experience for visitors to Korea and provided attendees with a well-rounded understanding of the logistical aspects of traveling to Korea.
The roadshow also featured an interactive Q&A session and to add an element of excitement, a lucky draw was conducted with special prizes.
These roadshows are part of KTO’s strategic initiative to target travel agents across India, ensuring a comprehensive understanding and promotion of Korean tourism on a pan-India scale. By reaching out to different regions, KTO aims to equip travel professionals nationwide with the insights and resources needed to boost travel to Korea.
