Jazeera Airways, Kuwait’s low-cost carrier, today announced the expansion of its India network under Project Vande Bharat, adding four new destinations: Kozhikode, Tiruchirappalli, Mangalore, and Kannur. With this addition, the airline now serves 12 Indian cities with 49 weekly frequencies, significantly enhancing connectivity between India and Kuwait for passengers, professionals, and cargo movement.

The expanded network builds on Jazeera Airways’ existing operations to Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram. The inclusion of key South Indian cities provides more direct and convenient access for passengers traveling to their hometowns, particularly benefiting large expatriate communities.

With services to all its key cities reinstated and additional cities on board, the airline has re-established a critical air bridge between Kuwait and India, supporting one of the country’s largest expatriate populations. At a time when connectivity carries deeper significance, these routes are enabling thousands of passengers to reunite with families, return to work, and sustain their livelihoods. The expanded network also facilitates the movement of essential workforce and supports critical supply chains between the two countries.

Barathan Pasupathi, Chief Executive Officer of Jazeera Airways, said,”India remains a cornerstone of our network, with the Indian community forming the largest expatriate population in Kuwait. Since resuming operations on March 20, we have served over 11,000 passengers under Project Vande Bharat, supporting the movement of people during a critical period. Expanding to 12 cities reflects our continued commitment to enhancing accessibility and maintaining essential connectivity between the two countries. We are grateful for the support of the Indian Embassy in Kuwait, the Ministry of External Affairs, and the Indian DGCA, and we look forward to adding more cities to our network, subject to approvals.”

Amid ongoing operational challenges, Jazeera Airways has demonstrated leadership in maintaining Kuwait’s global connectivity. All services are currently operating via King Fahd International Airport in Dammam and Qaisumah Airport in Saudi Arabia, with an integrated air-and-land corridor ensuring a reliable and efficient travel alternative between India and Kuwait.

Until the end of April 2026, Jazeera Airways will operate more than 31 destinations, with over 1,000 flights, offering 200,000 seats and more than 2 million tons of cargo capacity across its network.

Jazeera Airways remains committed to connecting people, supporting communities, and ensuring the uninterrupted movement of passengers and goods.
