Noida International Airport (NIA) has partnered with Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) to develop Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) infrastructure at the airport, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable and efficient transportation solutions. As part of the collaboration, IGL will establish two CNG stations—one in the west precinct and another in the airside area—to cater to travelers, airport staff, and partners.

IGL will develop the City Gas Distribution (CGD) network at Noida International Airport, ensuring seamless connectivity to and from the CNG stations. The partnership also includes establishing a pipeline infrastructure for the supply of piped natural gas (PNG) to various F&B outlets, lounges, and kitchens in the terminal and ancillary airport buildings.

By integrating CNG infrastructure, we are providing cleaner fuel alternatives to airport users while supporting the broader transition to greener mobility in the region.”

The initiative aligns with Noida International Airport’s vision of creating an environmentally responsible and energy-efficient airport that offers sustainable mobility solutions for passengers, employees, and partners.

In its first phase, with one runway and one terminal, the airport can handle 12 million passengers annually. Upon completion of the fourth phase, the airport will accommodate 70 million passengers each year, establishing it as a significant regional hub.
