IndiGo, India’s preferred airline, today announced a strategic partnership with Kotak Mahindra Bank to introduce its first co-branded credit cards, as part of the IndiGo BluChip loyalty program.

Over the last three years, IndiGo has pursued a multi-pronged growth strategy, aiming to evolve from a domestic low-cost airline to a global player with a carefully crafted service offering tailored to the needs of today’s aspirational traveller. The pursuit of this strategy has seen IndiGo push for international expansion, fleet diversification, launch a tailor-made business product —IndiGoStretch —and forge multiple global partnerships.

As part of its growth strategy, IndiGo launched the BluChip loyalty program last year. This free-to-join program enables members to easily earn points (“BluChip”) that can be redeemed on any IndiGo flight, with no blackout dates. The response to the IndiGo BluChip program has been extraordinary, with already 3.5 million registered members in the short period since launch.
