With the goal of enhancing industry-academia collaboration and talent development, the Crowne Plaza Pune City Centre, an IHG Hotel, has inked a strategic memorandum of understanding with Dnyaan Prasad Global University (DPGU) School for Hospitality and Tourism.
Students will be able to gain practical experience in hotel operations, service standards, and hospitality management through internships, on-the-job training, and placement possibilities made possible by the relationship. In order to keep up with the ever-changing demands of the industry, the program will also help faculty members grow professionally by funding field trips, knowledge-sharing sessions, and guest lectures.
Crowne Plaza Pune City Centre by IHG’s Santanu Sarkar, who is a unit of Neo Capricorn Plaza Private Limited, spoke with students at the signing and provided them with advice on how to be well-prepared for their careers and the latest developments in the sector.
“We are revolutionising hospitality education at DPGU through our relationship with the Crowne Plaza Pune City Centre, an IHG Hotel,” stated Somnath P. Patil, Pro-Chancellor of DPGU. Through this collaboration, our students will gain firsthand experience with worldwide hospitality standards, empowering them to excel in the face of intense global competition.
Crowne Plaza Pune City Centre hopes to help train future-ready hospitality professionals by partnering with this initiative.
