Following the approval of their investment application for a 300-bed multi-specialty hospital in Guwahati by the Government of Assam, Ambuja Neotia Group will create an integrated healthcare and hospitality project in the city. A mixed-use development on 2.88 acres of land at Fancy Bazar, Old Jail Road, is set to rise, with a total investment projected to surpass Rs 700 crore. A 300-bed multi-specialty hospital and a 200- to 250-key luxury four-plus-star hotel will be part of the development.
Hospital grounds of 1.46 acres will be reserved for the facility by Ambuja Neotia Healthcare Venture Limited, which is expected to invest between Rs 360 and 400 crore. Cardiac, neurological, orthopaedic, cancer, and critical care services will all be available at the new hospital. With an expenditure of almost Rs 350 crore, Ambuja Neotia Hotel Venture Limited will develop the remaining 1.42 acres into a hotel. Rooms for guests, banquet halls, and restaurants galore will all be on the premises.
In response to the news, Parthiv Neotia, Ambuja Neotia Group’s Joint Managing Director, expressed his gratitude to the Assam government for their support and confidence. We are confident that this integrated development can make a significant impact on the healthcare infrastructure and urban economy of Guwahati, which is strategically very important as the gateway to the North-East.
Here at Ambuja Neotia, we’ve always held the belief that development with real significance must benefit both people and the environment. Supporting medical access, creating employment, and strengthening Guwahati’s status as an important regional centre for healthcare, business, and travel are the goals of the project, which combines advanced healthcare facilities with a smartly designed hospitality component.
Job possibilities are anticipated to be created as a result of the project. It is projected that the hospital alone will provide direct employment of 1,500 to 2,000 people, with additional indirect employment through related services.
