Air India Express’ new aircraft, adorned with a livery inspired by Gujarat’s Bandhani, takes to the skies as part of the Tales of India initiative, bringing to life the colours, customs, and timeless stories of the region.

From Ahmedabad’s vibrant entrepreneurial spirit and cultural heritage to Chandigarh’s modernist architecture and proximity to the hills, and Dehradun’s scenic beauty and role as a gateway to Uttarakhand’s spiritual and Himalayan attractions, these new connections unlock direct access to key destinations for both business and leisure travelers.

In addition to booking flights, travelers can also take advantage of Air India Express’s ‘Xpress Holidays’ platform, offering curated holiday packages, including accommodation, transport, and activities. ‘Xpress Holidays’ can be easily accessed at the Product and Services section on the airline’s website.

Celebrating the soul of the nation through design, Air India Express introduces its ‘Tales of India’ initiative to the skies. More than just patterns, each livery is a visual story, inspired by India’s rich cultural heritage and regional artistry. From Gujarat’s Bandhani and Punjab’s Phulkari to Uttarakhand’s sacred Aipan, every design reflects the identity of its people and place.

With each aircraft, we honour the traditions that connect India’s many cultures, a flying tribute to stories that deserve to be seen, shared, and celebrated.

Wrapped in the spirit of Punjab, this Air India Express aircraft features a livery inspired by Phulkari, a tribute to the land’s vibrant legacy, as told through the Tales of India.
