Redevelopment projects across the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia are part of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts’ worldwide renovation initiative, which is redeveloping about 20% of the company’s hotel portfolio. In order to bolster the brand’s worldwide footprint, the investment comprises extensive renovations, innovative guest experiences, and property enhancements. The renovation of the Fairmont Southampton in Bermuda and the Fairmont Grand Hotel Geneva in Switzerland are two of the biggest projects; the former is expected to reopen in late 2026 and the latter in 2027. Renovated bedrooms, additional restaurants, larger conference spaces, and improved recreational facilities are all part of Gencom’s $550 million makeover of the Bermuda resort.

The Fairmont Pacific Rim, London’s The Savoy, Fairmont Tremblant, Fairmont Waterfront, Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, and Fairmont Château Laurier are all part of the refurbishment effort. The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, Fairmont Pittsburgh, Fairmont Orchid, and Fairmont Kea Lani are among the recently finished projects.

In the future, starting in July 2026, the Fairmont Winnipeg will undergo a complete renovation and reopen in the summer of 2027. Also set to close in September 2026 for extensive renovations is the Fairmont Beijing. The brand’s ongoing investment across its international portfolio is shown in the further restoration projects currently underway at Fairmont Banff Springs, Fairmont Empress, Fairmont Royal York, and Fairmont Nile City.
