With the goal of improving India’s tourist ecosystem via the use of technology, data insights, and digital capability building, Google India and the Ministry of Tourism have inked a Memorandum of Understanding. The partnership’s primary goals include training programs to bolster the Ministry’s digital marketing skills, study of travel trends, and enhanced digital discovery for the ‘Incredible India’ platform.

In order to enhance India’s tourist ecosystem via technology, data-driven insights, and digital capabilities development, the Indian Ministry of Tourism and Google India Private Limited have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Supporting the promotion of the ‘Incredible India’ campaign and enhancing digital engagement with domestic and international tourists, the deal represents the Ministry’s first complete relationship with a major technology business.

The foundation of the partnership is based on three main points. The primary objective is to assist the Ministry in tracking worldwide travel patterns and making data-driven decisions by means of dashboards created by Google. It is anticipated that these insights would allow for more rapid reactions to evolving tourist tastes and new opportunities in the tourism industry.

Improving digital discovery is the focus of the second pillar. As part of the agreement, the Incredible India app will keep looking for ways to better integrate with Google Maps so users can better discover and navigate to destinations. The Ministry of Tourism will also receive assistance from YouTube in optimising the Incredible India channel to attract a larger foreign audience and in developing more genuine tourist content.
