Otherland Hotels has appointed Jazib Husain as General Manager of Otherland Galle, the brand’s debut international property set to open on Sri Lanka’s southern coast soon. With 20 years of experience across internationally renowned hospitality brands, Jazib brings a broad range of expertise, leadership capability, and operational efficiency to Otherland Galle, Sri Lanka.

A Master’s graduate in Hospitality Management from Hotelschool The Hague in The Netherlands, Husain brings deep operational expertise across the full spectrum of hospitality leadership. His career spans food service management, hotel operations, food and beverage, business development, public relations, infrastructure planning, and P&L accountability, with a consistent track record of GOP optimization and service excellence in demanding, fast-paced environments.

Hailing from Lucknow, a city renowned for its culture and hospitality, his upbringing continues to shape his approach to leadership and guest experience. His command of international service standards, combined with hands-on fluency in restaurant operations, staff training, and general administration, positions him well to lead Otherland Galle’s operational vision from the ground up.

Situated in Galle, the 66-key oceanfront property is Otherland’s first international address and its most ambitious statement yet in the lifestyle hospitality category. Built around four core pillars: fluid experiences, rooms as basecamp, human hospitality, and differentiated F&B, Otherland Galle is designed to be a creative basecamp for a new generation of travellers drawn to surf, local subcultures, and immersive destination experiences. The property is developed in collaboration with Emanuel Sidhartha as Co-Founder, a recognised figure in Sri Lanka’s hospitality and cultural ecosystem.
